Operator and platform role

UniConnect is owned and operated by Vinci Alexandro Armas as a sole proprietorship. UniConnect is not currently operated by a limited liability company; the planned ASE LLC has not been formed. Any future change of operator will be identified in an updated notice.

For support, privacy requests, moderation appeals, or non-emergency safety concerns, contact UniConnect, operated by Vinci Alexandro Armas, at UniConnect.space@gmail.com. You do not need a UniConnect account or access to a suspended account to contact us. This is a UniConnect business contact, not university support or emergency services, and is not monitored continuously. Do not email passwords, full payment-card details, or bank-login credentials.

UniConnect provides campus community tools and a technology marketplace. UniConnect does not itself provide rides, perform listed student services, or insure user transactions. Service providers operate independently rather than as UniConnect employees. Marketplace payment tools do not make UniConnect the owner of listed property or the provider of a ride or student service. These descriptions do not determine a legal classification or exempt UniConnect or its users from applicable transportation, consumer-protection, tax, employment, or other law.

Eligibility and accounts

Accounts are limited to currently eligible members of a supported university community using their own approved credentials. Users must be at least 18 and able to form a binding agreement; a paid-ride driver must be at least 19. New users must explicitly confirm that they are at least 18 when signing up, including through university sign-in. This is a self-declaration, not identity-document age verification. One person may control only their own account. Users must provide accurate information, protect credentials, and promptly report suspected misuse.

Transactions and payments

For paid marketplace items, the posted buyer price includes mandatory UniConnect charges for each unit and does not change based on the supported payment method selected. Applicable sales tax is added separately and shown before payment. There is no additional payment-processing surcharge at checkout. This is a UniConnect price, not a representation of Stripe's exact processing cost. Historical orders retain their original disclosed prices and refund amounts. Other payment flows keep their own disclosures.

Users must use only platform-authorized payment and communication methods. Marketplace buyers contract with sellers, service buyers contract directly with independent service providers, and riders and drivers arrange shared-expense trips directly with each other. A service checkout fixes and separately displays the service price, UniConnect service fee, and buyer total. Prices, reimbursements, fees, totals, and refund allocations shown at checkout are part of the transaction disclosure. New payments currently accept cards only; other methods are unavailable unless offered by UniConnect at checkout. This does not remove support or refund handling for earlier payments made using other previously supported methods. Off-platform payments, tips for rides, and attempts to evade platform safeguards or fees are prohibited.

Marketplace payments may be held before release to a seller under the applicable buyer-protection process. Filing a timely dispute pauses release where technically available. UniConnect targets review within five business days but does not guarantee a decision by that time. Statutory rights and card-issuer rights are not waived.

Rules, enforcement, and precedence

The Privacy Notice and Community Guidelines apply to all users. The Driver Shared-Expense Agreement, Seller Rules, Ride Cancellation and Refund Rules, Ride Risk Disclosure, Service Provider Rules, and Service Cancellation and Dispute Rules supplement these terms for the activities they cover. If a role-specific or transaction-specific rule conflicts with these general terms for that activity, the more specific rule controls. UniConnect may remove content, restrict paid features, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or cooperate with lawful requests when needed for safety, integrity, or compliance. A university email address, campus affiliation, listing approval, or account status is not a university endorsement.

AI-assisted operation and review

AI-assisted tools and agents are integrated into UniConnect's development and operational workflows to help prepare updates, test features, diagnose bugs, and review security issues. Automated content checks, including AI-assisted checks when enabled, can also flag or block submissions. AI can make mistakes. These tools do not guarantee that content is safe, that an account is trustworthy, or that every bug, threat, or incident will be detected. AI-assisted security reviews are not a promise of continuous monitoring or emergency response. Payment tools remain subject to the payment provider's confirmed processing and the platform's authorization rules; this disclosure does not authorize an AI agent to move a user's money independently.

The Privacy Notice explains the information that may be processed for these activities. This disclosure does not replace any notice, permission, or other legal requirement that applies to a new use of personal information.

User statements, listings, routes, credentials, ratings, and transaction outcomes are not guaranteed. The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, UniConnect is not responsible for user conduct, item condition, trip operation, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
